Working Principle of Spray Tower
When dust-containing waste gas or oil-containing waste gas passes through the spray column body, a liquid medium is sprayed from a proper position (determined by design) inside the tower body.
The liquid medium can be an alkaline solution or a sulfuric acid solution.
When the waste gas enters from the bottom of the tower body, it comes into contact with the spray medium sprayed by the spray tower.
After contact, the waste gas or oil dirt is wrapped by water droplets.
The water droplets wrapping the pollutants collide again, resulting in an increase in surface area and gravity.
Under the influence of increased gravity, the water droplets wrapping the pollutants fall into the bottom of the spray tower under the action of gravity.
Heavier pollutants sink to the bottom of the tower body, while lighter pollutants float on the surface of the circulating water.
Precautions for Spray Tower Design
When the waste gas contains oil and dust, during the design of the spray tower, it is necessary to consider whether to add filter fillers or the type of nozzles. Choosing inappropriate nozzles may easily cause blockage of the water system of the spray tower.
Select a suitable spray medium.
Design a reasonable air flow channel and water supply method.
The problem of sewage discharge and cleaning after spraying in the spray tower.
Appropriate gas-liquid ratio, and select a suitable water pump according to the gas-liquid ratio.
The empty tower flow rate is generally designed to be 1-6 meters per second. However, in the case of medium spraying and fillers, the filtering wind speed can be reasonably selected according to the specific conditions of the waste gas.
