1. Flushing

Before acid cleaning, first perform an open flushing of the heat exchanger to remove impurities such as sludge and scale from its interior. This not only improves the effectiveness of acid cleaning but also reduces the acid consumption. Pour the cleaning solution into the cleaning equipment, and then inject it into the heat exchanger.

 

2. Acid Cleaning

Allow the heat exchanger, which is fully filled with the acid solution, to soak statically for 2 hours, followed by continuous dynamic circulation for 3–4 hours. During the circulation period, perform alternating forward and reverse cleaning every 0.5 hours. After the acid cleaning process is completed, if the pH value of the acid solution is greater than 2, the acid solution can be reused.

After acid cleaning, conduct alkaline cleaning on the heat exchanger through dynamic circulation. This step aims to achieve acid-base neutralization and prevent corrosion of the heat exchanger tubes.

 

4. Water Rinsing

After alkaline cleaning, rinse the heat exchanger repeatedly with clean softened water for 0.5 hours to thoroughly flush out residual residues inside the heat exchanger.
