  • Core structure: A huge vertical or horizontal pressure-bearing cylindrical tank.
  • Internal structure: Heat exchange elements are installed inside the tank, the most common of which are spiral coils (coiled like mosquito-repellent incense) or U-tube bundles. Most of the space inside the tank is used as the volume for storing the heated fluid.

Working Principle

 

The heat source fluid flows inside the heat exchange elements; the heated fluid is basically in a relatively static storage state within the tank. Cold water (or low-temperature process water) enters the lower part of the tank and fills the entire tank. The heat source (steam/high-temperature water) flows inside the coils or U-tubes, and heat passes through the pipe walls to heat the water stored in the tank. The heated water becomes smaller in density and rises to the upper part of the tank for storage. Hot water is supplied for use from the outlet at the upper part of the tank, with cold water continuously replenishing.

The temperature of condensate water outlet is lower than 80℃ during the heat transfer of soda water.
